About the exhibition
"Anatol Petrytskyi. Beyond the Stage" is a virtual exhibition that opens a little-known page of the outstanding Ukrainian artist's work — his painting. The central place in the exposition is held by landscapes from different periods of his creative work, including works on wartime themes from the 1940s. The project brings together works, a significant part of which had not previously been exhibited, and offers a new perspective on Petrytsky as an original painter whose work was shaped by complex historical events yet retained its own artistic language.
The exhibition was produced by the team of the National Art Museum of Ukraine with the involvement of the project's partners: the Central State Archive of Literature and Art of Ukraine, the Mykolaiv Regional Art Museum named after V. Vereshchagin, and the NKMMK "Mystetskyi Arsenal."
